Update

Literally translated from Portuguese to English, Barba tarnslates to the word "beard".

As you can see from the various mestres above, beards are quite popular amongst capoeiristas.

Update

A Barraca or Barracão (a big Barraca) is a covered structure.  Open and expansive on the inside.  It may or may not have walls and can be made out of wood, metal, or other building materials.  Think of a warehouse type space with the sides that is great for shade and is often open to breeze.

Another way to think of it is like a shed.  We see the fruit stand here at the bottom of the photos, and the creative owner is using a bit of romanticism or nostalgia with the name to harken back to an older time in Brasil.  It's where he hosts his wares.

A famous Barraca in the capoeira universe is the Barracão do Mestre Waldemar.
